By Stuart Hedstrom  Staff Writer     DEXTER — One play ended up making a huge difference during a May 2 Class C East contest on the diamond between Dexter Regional High School and Penquis Valley High School, as the fourth inning could have ended 2-0 in favor of the home team but instead the score was 6-0 when Dexter’s turn in the batter’s box came to an end.

    April 29: Foxcroft baseball won at Old Town 8-1.

    On May 3 Michael Niles, 13 of Charleston, finished 19th out of a field 201 in the Erin’s Run 5K in Bangor.

    The Foxcroft Academy boys track and field team was in action at home on May 2, and the Ponies used the home advantage by finishing in first place out of a field of seven teams with a score of 125 points.

By Stuart Hedstrom  Staff Writer     DOVER-FOXCROFT — Rain forecast for Saturday caused a scheduled date between the softball teams of Foxcroft Academy and Mount Desert Island High School to be moved up a day to April 25, with the Ponies and Trojans taking advantage of the great day for a ball game by playing two.

    Gary Larson, 69 of Dover-Foxcroft, ran in the 85th annual Patriots’ Day 5-Miler on April 21 in Portland.
