GUILFORD — Students at Piscataquis Community Elementary School captured their thoughts and feelings from the coronavirus pandemic in firsthand accounts, poetry, stories, art and more.

MILO — A proposed 2021-22 SAD 41 budget totaling $10,217,483 was approved June 15 during the annual district budget meeting held in the Walter “Eddie” Oakes Gymnasium at Penquis Valley High School.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — After recently replacing a ladder truck, the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department will also be switching out a 1999 pumper truck for a new model sometime in 2022.

GUILFORD — A day after residents of the six SAD 4 communities approved a $7,448,288 budget for 2021-22, the school board formally approved the votes and set the assessments for the towns during a June 9 meeting in the Piscataquis Community Elementary School cafeteria.

MILO — The 27 megawatt, $30 million Milo Solar project in the Eastern Piscataquis Business Park is now up and running with electricity from the site to be sold to Versant Power under a 20-year purchase agreement to run about 3,400 Maine homes annually.

BREWER — The Foxcroft Academy boys scored points in four events during the 2021 Class C Outdoor Track & Field Championship at the Brewer Community School on June 5.

DEXTER — A proposed $15,576,289 SAD 46 budget for the 2021-22 academic year was approved at the annual district meeting on June 3 at the Ridge View Community School.

MILO — Residents in the SAD 41 communities of Brownville, LaGrange and Milo will be voting on the proposed 2021-22 SAD 41 budget at the annual district budget meeting later this month, and then via referendum.
