There’s a lawsuit in the courts now regarding whether it’s legal to ask a person’s citizenship status in the upcoming U.S. Census. The Center Theatre was full of Seussified Fun Friday, May 3 as The Slightly Off-Center Player Kids took the stage to perform “Seussical Jr.” for the first time. Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and more favorite Dr. Seuss characters sprung to life onstage with exciting songs and colorful costumes.

On Saturday, May 4 American Legion Unit 41 Auxiliary of Milo hosted a luncheon to thank area first responders. There were 35 in attendance, representing the Milo Police Department, Three Rivers Ambulance and the Milo, Brownville, Sebec and LaGrange fire departments. Each organization was presented with a plaque and certificate in recognition of all the work done to protect the communities.

Come help push a new Moosehead Lake region trail towards finalization. The Prong Pond Trail will be a relatively short trail to a pond overlook and shoreline peninsula. Right now, it needs blazing, clearing of winter damage, additional tread work and clearing of a modest section leading to the future trailhead.
