Missing Greenville woman on way to Florida located

Greenville police say an 83-year-old woman who was traveling from Maine to Florida has been found after being reported missing.

A Monday evening post on the Greenville Police Department Facebook page said Eleanor “Merrill” Pritham has been located and she is safe with a very close friend.

The department said it appreciates the public’s assistance, law enforcement agencies and everyone who shared information during the search.

Pritham

Pritham had been last seen while leaving her residence during the early morning hours of Monday, July 27.

She last communicated with her family the following Wednesday afternoon. At that time, she was believed to be in the South Carolina area and traveling north.

Investigators determined that earlier in the week she stayed overnight in West Virginia and was possibly in the Augusta, Georgia area on Tuesday. She never arrived at her destination.

Pritham was believed to be traveling with her two dogs in a red Kia Soul with Florida registration plates.

Family members reported that she has recently shown signs of memory loss and cognitive issues.
