Pony, Tiger X-C squads open the season

ELLSWORTH — The Foxcroft Academy and Dexter Regional High School cross country teams opened the 2026 regular season at the Ellsworth Invitational on Sept. 3.

The Foxcroft boys scored 166 points to end the day eighth among 10 schools.

Pony senior Noah Ferioli finished fourth among 68 runners as he covered the 5K course in a time of 17 minutes, 00.33 seconds. Senior Ethen Eakright came in 13th at 18:34.36.

Senior Josh Sinclair placed 54th in 23:08.39. Sophomore Skyler Patrick was 61st at 25:50.18. Freshman Cayden Abbott Dallamora finished 68th at 37:47.34.

The Dexter boys were 10th in the standings with 226 points.

Senior Ian Saunders led the Tigers by coming in 38th with his time of 20:43.29. Sophomore Michael Irish was 53rd in 23:04.27.

Sophomore Geoffrey Decker finished 56th at 24:05.10. Senior Joshua Plourde was 60th at 25:00.78. Sophomore Liam Saunders came in 62nd at 26:03.02.

In the girls meet, Dexter came in sixth among six teams with a score of 111 points.

Junior Ella McClintock-Hatch led the Tigers by placing ninth among a field of 52 runners with her time of 21:45.76. Sophomore Elainah Hotham was 15th in 23:00.90.

Sophomore Crystal Adkins came in 29th at 24:32.18. Senior Grace Jiang placed 50th at 34:00.05. Sophomore Carol Dudley finished 51st at 38:15.46. Sophomore Lydia Standish was 52nd at 44:13.43.

Two Foxcroft girls ran in Ellsworth. Zoey Eakright came in 41st in a time of 26:12.11. Freshman Nina Espinosa was 45th at 27:46.79.
