Lagrange boy recovering after being run over by car, family says

LAGRANGE — A child run over by a car Aug. 26 in Lagrange is recovering, his family said.
The boy, identified as 3-year-old James, was run over around 3:55 p.m. at a home in Lagrange. Family members rushed the toddler to a hospital when first responders intercepted and helped get him to an ambulance.
RECOVERING — Three-year-old James is recovering after being run over by a car on Aug. 26, his family said.
The toddler is doing pretty well and has lots of healing, his great-aunt Evelyn Mushero told the Bangor Daily News on Friday.
James has a broken collarbone and rib, a spiral fracture on his femur as well as bruising and traumatic swelling, according to a GoFundMe set up by Mushero. He is recovering from a surgery on Aug. 27.
“This has been a devastating and frightening time for James, his mom, his dad, and our entire family,” the GoFundMe said. “We are doing everything we can to support them during this difficult journey.”
Police declined to release any new details about what happened.
