Area Kiwanis Clubs support Theatre camps

DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Center Theatre announced that local Kiwanis Clubs are providing critical support for the upcoming 2026 Children’s Summer Drama Camps. The Moosehead Lake Kiwanis has once again stepped forward to sponsor 10 children for the Greenville camp session. These camps, which have been a cornerstone of the theatre’s programming since 1999, are proudly offered on a pay-what-you-can basis to ensure they remain accessible to all families in the region.

The support for these programs extends across the region, with the Three Rivers Kiwanis and the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis also providing long-standing and vital backing for camps in their respective communities. This collaborative effort allows the Center Theatre to continue its mission of making arts and education accessible to rural communities, even in the face of significant federal funding cuts to programs like AmeriCorps VISTA.

“We are so grateful for the continued support of the Kiwanis Clubs in our communities,” said Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre executive director. “They do so much for area children. We’re humbled and inspired by their support of our summer camp programs.”

The 2026 Summer Drama Camp schedule includes two sessions in Dover-Foxcroft, and one each in Monson, Greenville and Milo. Registration is now open for all summer camp sessions. Families interested in enrolling their children, ages 6 to 13, can find more information and register by visiting the theatre’s website, www.centertheatre.org/drama-camps or by calling the box office at 207-564-8943.

The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts is celebrating the 20th anniversary of reopening in 2006 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to engage and inspire by making arts, education and entertainment accessible to our rural communities.
