“Emma is a leader both inside and outside the classroom, serving as an excellent role model for all students,” says Arnold Shorey, head of school. “She takes her academics very seriously, but also appreciates the importance of participating in all aspects of high school life. She leads by example and truly cares about her fellow classmates.”

Alden and Shorey will attend an honors luncheon with other award winners and their principals at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer on Saturday, April 11. This event honors these exceptional students by presenting an individual plaque and awarding 10 $1,000 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler and Richard A. Durost.
