Motorcyclist dies after striking deer in Dexter

DEXTER — A 63-year-old motorcyclist died from her injuries after striking a deer in Dexter on Saturday night.

The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Route 7, Dexter Police Chief Kevin Wintle said.

She was flown by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where she had been listed in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries.

Her name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
