Dexter man accused of assaulting his 7-month-old child

DEXTER — A Dexter man allegedly assaulted his 7-month-old child earlier this month.

Kolby Drake, 23, has been charged with aggravated assault, assault and domestic violence assault, according to the Maine State Police.

The child was taken to the hospital on the evening of Aug. 7 with serious injuries, the state police said.

Drake was arrested for the alleged assault on Aug. 13.

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, where he remained the next morning.

Drake was scheduled to appear in court on those charges later in the week.
