Foxcroft Academy field hockey raises $3,600 for Partners for Peace

WATERVILLE — On Saturday, July 26 the Foxcroft Academy field hockey team took part in the Victories over Violence tournament, hosted by Skowhegan Field Hockey at Thomas College. This event served as a fundraiser to support domestic violence prevention efforts, with all proceeds benefiting local agencies.

Thanks to the generosity of community sponsors and donors, the Ponies raised over $3,600 which will directly support Partners for Peace in Piscataquis County. The Victories over Violence tournament raised over $70,000 throughout the day.

“Our girls came together with generous support from our community to participate in something bigger than field hockey,” Foxcroft Academy field hockey head coach Davan Walker said. “They were able to attend domestic violence prevention educational sessions throughout the day, along with playing field hockey for a bigger cause. We are very proud of their dedication and our community support.”
