SeDoMoCha Jazz Band wins gold at state festival

WATERVILLE — The SeDoMoCha Jazz Band competed in the Maine Music Educators Association State Junior High School Jazz Festival at Waterville Senior High School on March 23 where the team won gold.

The SeDoMoCha Jazz Band had 5 soloists, Aurora Youngblood, Ron Tyler, Carter Richardson, Amiela Robinson and Gabe Shorette. All soloists earned the highest rating of 1 for their performances. Youngblood was awarded the distinction of Outstanding Soloist, which was only awarded to five musicians from the division.
