Daigle Builders offers four decades of general carpentry experience

RIPLEY — Two years ago Connecticut native Jeffrey Daigle and his wife moved to Ripley to come back to the Dexter area where she is originally from. Daigle brought with him what is now 40 years experience as a general carpenter with his Daigle Builders to serve the Dexter region, other locations in Maine, and beyond.

Daigle said when he was in high school he met the owners of a construction company and quickly went to work for them. “They were looking for help and they promised me a good life,” he said. “I helped them out when I was younger in high school on weekends and then when I got out they offered me a job.”

Daigle served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the late 1970s. In the early 1980s he began his own Daigle Builders and today he has expanded to several divisions of his company.

“I have a few businesses here, I do a dumpster business, I am a home builder, and I do seamless gutters too,” he said.

As a general carpenter, Daigle Builders can be called upon for all home improvement projects such roofing and framing, structural repairs, and work on camps

“Right now on Lake Wassookeag I’m building a 5,500-square foot house for a customer over there,” he said. “I just did eight roofs this week.”

Daigle Builders will hire contractors, plumbers, and electricians for work on the construction jobs that are in the area, a bit further away such as those in Greenville and Glenburn, or even out of state.

“I’ll go anywhere,” Daigle said. He said Daigle Builders has done recent work on strip malls in Westerly Rhode Island, construction back in Connecticut, and built some homes in Vermont.

“I like that I get to build stuff for people that makes them happy, like when I build somebody’s dream home for them,” Daigle said.

Daigle Builders installs seamless gutters for fewer clogs, backups, and leaks. These require less maintenance than traditional gutters and offer lasting curb appeal and are a perfect fit every time.

“I bought some dumpsters and a truck, so I do that too,” Daigle said about another business venture of his

Daigle Builders proudly offers veteran and senior citizen discounts. “I just did a roof for an elderly couple on Social Security with no money, so I pretty much charged them hardly anything,” he said. “We’ve got to do our part.”

Daigle has been involved in lending his time and talents to “Homes for Our Troops,” building houses for disabled veterans.
