HUSKY, BUT STILL ABLE TO RUN FAST
Brownville Jct. went to the dogs on Saturday, Jan. 26 during the Maine Highlands Sled Dog Club and Town of Brownville’s annual Dog Days of Winter and KI and Beyond 30 Mile Sled Dog Race.

Fifteen different teams of dogs and mushers took off from the starting line at the end of Railroad Avenue to head out on the near 30-mile course to Chairback Mountain and back, finishing on Railroad Avenue. The race was run by a number of volunteers, including the Brownville Snowmobile Club with trail support and the Piscataquis Amateur Radio Club with communications support along the route.
