Tuesdays from 12-2 p.m. Common Quilters: The Common Quilters of Central Hall are announcing a new time for their weekly meeting. The Quilters welcome any adults with an interest in quilting, who would like to start learning this traditional art form, improve their skills or just meet with others who share an interest in making quilts or quilted projects. There are always suggestions and guidance from the group. Sewing machines, supplies and inspiration are available at the meetings.
The group is planning a quilt gallery on the ground floor of Central Hall to feature the work of its members. The Quilters have worked in the past on projects for fundraising. They also plan occasional field trips to quilt shops and quilt exhibits. For more information, please email commonquilters@gmail.com
HealthCoachME Lecture Series: Starting on the first Tuesday of the Month, April 1 at 6 p.m. for an informative seven-part monthly lecture series presented by Dr. Kevin Chasse. The topics being discussed are; The Benefits of Intermittent Fasting, Reversing Insulin Resistance and Metabolic Syndrome, Why Muscle Matters; Preventing Sarcopenia, Ending your Cholesterol Confusion, the Ketogenic Diet, Metabolism and Weightloss 101 and finally, in October, Interval Training to Accelerate Weightloss. This class is by donation. Suggested donation of $15, but no one is turned away for lack of funds.
Muelvo Mondays Zumba Class: Get ready to move and groove with Muelvo Mondays! Starting May 5, join us every Monday at 5 p.m. at Central Hall Commons for a fun and energizing Zumba class. Led by licensed Zumba instructor Kelly Sirimoglu, this pay-what-you-can class is open to all levels and abilities — no experience needed! Kelly believes Zumba should feel like a dance party, not a workout, so come ready to have a blast. All you need to bring is comfortable clothing, sneakers, a bottle of water, and a smile!
Central Hall Commons aspires to bring people together to celebrate and serve the community through programs, events, and the arts.
