The 11-year-old girl injured last month in an ATV crash in Dover-Foxcroft has died.

The girl was riding an ATV with her 43-year-old father near Mayo Street in Dover-Foxcroft on May 31 when the crash happened, the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department said last month.

Both were taken to Northern Light Mayo Hospital with serious injuries. The 11-year-old was later taken by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Mark Latti, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, confirmed in a Wednesday morning email that the girl succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
