Harold Arthur Coates

ATKINSON- Harold Arthur Coates, 92, husband of the late Ramona Harriet Coates, died Friday, May 3, 2019 at Pleasant Meadows in Dover- Foxcroft surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 8, 1927 in Melrose, MA, the Son of Arthur and Bertha (Carroll) Coates. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and had worked as a Customer Service Agent for the airlines. He enjoyed going camping and hunting and fishing. Harold and his wife managed to visit forty-nine states in their years together.
He is survived by three children, Jeff Coates of Chubbuck ID; Laurine Farrar of Plymouth ME., Jonna Lee and her husband Danny of Roanoke VA.; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Harold will be especially missed by his grandson, Joshie who would take him to his Doctor appointments and out for stringy potatoes. Graveside services, officiated by Chaplain Gail Januskiewicz, will be held 1 PM Monday May 6, 2019 at the Town Cemetery in Atkinson. Arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
