Robshaw continues her winning ways on the track

ORONO — For the the fifth time in as many meets, Penquis Valley High School senior Cymeria Robshaw won the 55-meter dash during a Penobscot Valley Conference/Eastern Maine Indoor Track League competition at the University of Maine.

Robshaw most recent first-place performance came on Jan. 19 as she ran the 55 dash in a time of 7.54 seconds to best the time of 7.81 seconds for meet runner-up Bangor High School sophomore Naomi Noack.

On Saturday Robshaw also had the top distance in the long jump. Robshaw jumped 17 feet, 7.25 inches to best the distance of 17-00.75 for Bangor sophomore Alyssa Elliott. Robshaw also came in second in the triple jump with a leap of 34-03, trailing only Elliott’s distance of 35-02.

Robshaw scored all 22 points for Penquis as the team was fifth of five schools.

The Foxcroft Academy indoor track team team took part in another PVC/EMITL Jan. 19 meet at UMaine with both Pony squads placing sixth of six schools.

The Foxcroft boys scored four points as junior Hunter Clarke came in fourth in the 200 with a time of 26.46 seconds.

The Pony girls had one point with freshman Grace Carlson finishing sixth in the long jump at a distance of 11-00.50.
