Milo – Charlene S. Willinski, 95, wife of the late Lawrence F. Willinski, Sr., passed away August 2, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Dover-Foxcroft with her family by her side. She was born in Milo on February 22, 1921, the daughter of Augustus and Lucy (Crockett) Stevens.
Charlene grew up in Milo and moved to Millinocket where Lawrence was employed by Great Northern Paper. After he retired, they moved to Dover-Foxcroft. She was known for her total independence and spotless home that she maintained in Milo until age 95.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Ouellette and husband Bob; and sons, John and wife Gene, and Larry and wife Carolyn. Mimi leaves behind eight special grandchildren, Judy Small, Jill Galen and husband Steve, Jan White, Jerry Knowles and wife Andrea, Tina (Willinski) White and husband Rick, Connie (Willinski) Socci and husband Kevin, Jennifer (Willinski) Lyons and husband David, and David Willinski. Also she leaves eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a brother, Charles Stevens. She was predeceased by her sister, Thais Zamboni.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 1:00 P.M., at the Gray Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
