Martha L. London

London, Martha L., 89, of Dover-Foxcroft, on December 23, 2012. There will be a Celebration of Life at a graveside service at the family lot in the Dover Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.


PO London Martha    Dover-Foxcroft – Martha Loretta London, 89, passed into the arms of her Lord, December 23, 2012, from complications of pneumonia. Martha had been a resident of Dexter Health Care Facility for three and a half years, after a stroke. Through her life, Martha was well known as a clerk in Dover-Foxcroft, working alongside her best friend, Beryl Dow, first at Lanpher’s Drug Store for 14 years and then at Peter’s Pharmacy for another 14 years where she retired. Her favorite hobbies were Saturday night country dances and her many trips to Las Vegas with Beryl.
    Martha was an extremely proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was happiest when surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son, Jeff London, and her daughter, Gayle Jordan and husband, Jeff, all of Dover-Foxcroft; a grandson, Jeff Jordan II and his wife Tracie of Clinton; grandson, Jarrod Jordan and his wife, Monica of Carmel; grandson, Jamie Jordan, serving with the USAF in Germany; granddaughter, Tracy Cushman and her husband, Kenny, of St. Augustine, FL; and grandson, Ryan London and his friend, Jenn Rollins of Dover-Foxcroft. She is also survived by her special great-grandchildren, Camron and Taylor Jordan, and Alexis and Alicia London. She will be remembered by a favorite cousin, Virginia McCarthy, who was thought of as Martha’s sister all their lives. Martha’s family extends a special thank you to the loving staff at Dexter Health Care and to special staff members, Bev, Carly and Dianne for being a second family in the last few years.
    There will be a Celebration of Life at a graveside service at the family lot in the Dover Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Dexter Health Care Facility, Resident Activities, 64 Park Street, Dexter 04930. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
