Foxcroft Academy goes to week of remote learning following positive test

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy students are learning remotely the week of March 8-12 after a positive case involving a person associated with the school.

In a March 7 letter to families, students and staff, Head of School Arnold Shorety said the person who tested positive was last in attendance at the school on Tuesday, March 2. Students and staff that need to quarantine will be contacted directly by school personnel. The Foxcroft Academy response team has taken steps to follow Maine CDC and DOE guidelines to notify staff and students as appropriate.

The Foxcroft Academy building will be closed on Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12 with remote learning continuing through this period.

In-person instruction is scheduled to return on Monday, March 15. The school’s Winter Carnival will now be the week of March 15.
