Dexter police arrest five on drug charges 

DEXTER — The Dexter Police Department and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency have announced the arrest of a Dexter couple for Class A aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and three others for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

 

According to a news release from the department, at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 9 the Dexter Police Department and MDEA agents of the North/Central District executed a search warrant at a Garland Road.residence. Dexter Police/MDEA have been investigating drug sales/use related activity at the property over the last several months.

 

Arrested were Deborah Bashaw, 58 of Dexter, Class A, aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs and criminal forfeiture of property; Kyle Roach, 36 of Dexter, Class A, aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs; Reginald Melvin, Sr, 54 of Dexter, Class D, unlawful possession of schedule drugs; Dale Melvin, 28 of Dexter, Class D, unlawful possession of schedule drugs; and Shania Tripp, 22 of Dexter, Class D, unlawful possession of schedule drugs.

 

Additional charges are pending.

 

Bashaw’s bail was set at $25,000, Roach’s bail was set at $15,000.
