MILO — A proposed 2021-22 SAD 41 budget totaling $10,217,483 was approved June 15 during the annual district budget meeting held in the Walter “Eddie” Oakes Gymnasium at Penquis Valley High School.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District is very excited to announce that we will be collaborating with Widdershins Farm LLC again this summer! Widdershins is a local farm in Dover-Foxcroft offering a wide variety of services and products and includes a creamery and farm store that is open seven days a week.

PORTLAND — Effective Father’s Day Weekend (June 19-20), the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland has lifted the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation throughout the state of Maine.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre in Dover-Foxcroft announced that it will be hosting a free New Neighbors Block Party on Sunday, June 27 from 3-6 p.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and Piscataquis County Ice Arena announced that they are continuing the popular drive-in program started in 2020 as a reaction to the COVID pandemic  They are planning some changes for the 2021 season, including viewer’s choice movies and seating areas for chairs, blankets, beanbags, etc.

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a new series of monthly webinars about preserving Maine foods beginning with one scheduled for noon to12:45 p.

The Moosehead Artisan Village will be officially opening for the season on June 30 and going to the end of October.

MILO — Have you ever wanted to hold an ancient Incan tool made from a meteorite, or see a Columbian Mammoth tooth? Most museums are sober, quiet places that discourage interaction with the exhibits, but the Harrigan Learning Center and Museum, located in Milo, is a breath of  fresh air.
