Donald Trump talked big about lowering the price of prescription drugs, but instead about the only thing he’s done is take big money. Trump promised nearly 80 times to lower drug prices or claimed he already had -- yet, in the first six months of 2019, 3,400 drugs increased their prices at a rate five times higher than inflation. We need a president who won’t sell us out, and who can take real action to lower drug prices. Mike Bloomberg will be that president.

The six seniors on the Greenville High School basketball team will be appearing in their fourth Class D state championship game Saturday. It will be their second consecutive basketball state game appearance, and the Class D South champs are again facing Class D North and defending  two-time state champion Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook in a 1:05 p.m. contest at the Augusta Civic Center.

The Class D South Lakers (19-2) look to snap 21-0 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook’s two-year reign as state champion in a 1 p.m. Saturday game at the Augusta Civic Center, and win the program's first gold ball since 1985.

A new vaccine law was passed in the Legislature last session that removed the ability for parents to claim religious and philosophical exemptions to the required vaccines children need to obtain in order to enter schools. This makes the mandate impossible to get out of, unless you have medical reasons for not getting your children vaccinated.
