On Wednesday, March 11, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Sara Gideon will host a bean supper in Dover-Foxcroft beginning at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend. The menu will include baked beans, hot dogs, brown bread, cole slaw, desserts and beverages for attendees. The event will be held at The Commons at Central Hall, 152 East Main St.

The Center Theatre announced that Gretchen Huettner has joined the Center Theatre staff through the Americorps Vista program. Three Dexter Regional High School wrestlers earned berths in this weekend’s New England championship at Methuen (Massachusetts) High School by finishing in the top three of their respective weight classes at the New England Qualifier on Feb. 29 at Noble High School. The competition brings together the top four performers from the Class A and B championships to see who will represent the Pine Tree State on March 7-8.
