New Year’s Dinner Dance to benefit Central Hall

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Dec. 31 the community can enjoy a wonderful dinner and dance the night away while supporting the Central Hall renovations. The Mill Event Center will be hosting a New Year’s Dinner Dance starting at 7:30 p.m. with all proceeds going to benefit the final work necessary to open the second floor event space in Central Hall.
The renovations have been ongoing and work is progressing during the winter, but the Maine Highlands Senior Center still needs nearly $100,000 to complete installation of a sprinkler system and final electrical work. Center officials are pursuing grants and other funding sources, but are also raising money locally.
The New Year’s Dinner Dance will be catered by Pastimes Pub and Foxcroft Catering company with dance music provided by the Foxcroft Academy Alumni Dance Band. Tickets, available per person and per couple, are on sale at the Center Theatre and www.centertheatre.org. Additionally, as the midnight hour approaches, attendees can make their way to Pastimes Pub for a champagne toast and to witness the first-ever New Year’s Eve Whoopie Pie Drop. More information can be found by calling the Center Theatre at 564-8943 or visiting www.centertheatre.org.
