Heather L. McMillen

Heather L. McMillen, 45, died Friday, November 3, 2016, at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 11, 1970, in Bangor, the daughter of Peggy Partnin and William O. Peterson, Jr.
Heather graduated from Foxcroft Academy, class of 1989, and from the College of the Atlantic, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology and Landscape Design. After college she married Glenn McMillan. Heather had a variety of jobs throughout her career including Gardening and Floral jobs, CDL Team Driver for Schneider National, and as a stitcher at Creative Apparel and Globe Eco, in Dover-Foxcroft. She earned a red belt Tae Kwon Do; was an herbalist, primitive skills entusiast, and fiber artist working in quilting and beadwork.
Heather is survived by her husband, Glenn McMillan of Sebec; her mother, Peggy Partnin, of Ellsworth; her father, William O. Peterson, Jr., of Brewer; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
