Veronica (Ronnie) Ann Ronco

RONCO, Veronica (Ronnie) Ann, 85, of Abbot, April 11, 2013. A service celebrating Ronnie’s rich life will be held Saturday, May 11, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church from 2-4 p.m. Arrangements are in the care of the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.

PO Veronica Ronco OB    ABBOT – Veronica (Ronnie) Ann Ronco, 85, went home to be with the Lord April 11, 2013, while surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife of 67 years as well as a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Ronnie was born January 13, 1928, in Newark, NJ, to Stephan Andrewski and Anna Mizia Andrewski.
    She married Reginald Ronco on February 24, 1946, in Newark. Ronnie worked in the banking industry until she retired in 1977 and moved to Maine with her husband. Her hobbies included needlework, playing the organ, planting flowers and doing projects around the house. She also enjoyed traveling to her family’s camp at Moxie Pond and to Myrtle Beach, SC, where she and Reggie wintered for many happy years. While living in Abbot, Ronnie attended Abbot Evangelical Free Church. Throughout her life, she was comforted by Isaiah 26:3, which says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
    Ronnie was the cherished matriarch of her family, consisting of her three sons and their families. Her eldest son, David, is married to Dawn. They have two sons, Ben and Jesse, and live in Raleigh, NC. Mark, her middle son, is married to Lisa, and their children are Emily, Josh, and his wife Allison, who all live in Kansas City, MO. Ronnie’s youngest son, Tom, is married to Jan and they reside in Abbot. Ronnie was also loved by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four sisters and two brothers.
    A service celebrating Ronnie’s rich life will be held Saturday, May 11, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church from 2-4 p.m. All friends are welcome and encouraged to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to AIIA Institute at P.O. Box 262 Monson, ME 04464.
