Mayo Regional Hospital CEO elected to ACHE Council of Regents

PO VIENNEAUMUG 47 16424805 copyDOVER-FOXCROFT — Marie E. Vienneau, FACHE, president and CEO of Mayo Regional Hospital has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.

Vienneau will take office at the Council of Regents meeting March 12, 2016, during ACHE’s 59th Congress on Healthcare Leadership at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As a regent, Vienneau will represent ACHE’s membership in Maine.

Vienneau has served as president and CEO of Mayo Regional Hospital since 2014. Prior to this position, she was CEO at Millinocket Regional Hospital for 12 years and held various clinical and administrative positions there. Vienneau also is a board member of the Northern New England Association of Healthcare Executives (NNEAHE) and a member of the President’s Advisory Council of EMCC. She is a past-chair of the Maine Hospital Association and currently serves on its Public Policy Council.

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Vienneau also maintains her ANCC certification as a board certified nurse executive. She holds degrees from the University of Maine and Kennedy Western University.
