Thank you from a veteran
To the Editor;
On Nov. 11 it was just a trip to the Dover-Foxcroft Hannaford grocery store for some milk when, at the checkout, a friendly voice asked, “Are you a veteran?”
“Yes,” I replied.
Whereupon the lady at the register reached for an envelope in which I later found a Hannaford gift card – a “gift” from Will Wedge and his store.
His gesture was a recognition of every veteran’s service to our country. It was a thoughtful and generous token of gratitude. To him, in return, I say thank you for caring. Thank you for remembering and for being a true patriot.
