Synernet, Inc is the workers compensation insurance company that insures Mayo Regional Hospital employees. At the annual fund meeting, Synernet presented awards to two of its 14 member hospitals: Best Performance Overall Award and Most Improved Award. Of the member hospitals, Mayo Regional Hospital had the biggest reduction in all injury costs — per $1,000 payroll.
From 2013 to 2015 Mayo Regional Hospital saw a 70 percent reduction in injury cost due to a reduction in patient handling claims.
“Congratulations to the Mayo employees and the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Committee to keeping our patients and employees safe,” said Marie Vienneau, CEO and president of Mayo Regional Hospital.
