D/F Historical Society annual meeting set for April 3

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Gerrish Meeting Room at Thayer Parkway. Annual reports will be shared and new officers elected for the coming year.

The speaker for the evening will be Lou Stevens. Stevens will talk about Mary Elizabeth Greeley (1836 – 1924), a well-known artist who was a Dover-Foxcroft native.
The Historical Society is fortunate to have many of her works — oils, watercolors and chalks. Stevens will tell of her interesting life and share some of her works.
This summer the Observer Building Museum will feature this artist with a display of many of her works.
All are invited to attend the meeting. For more information, please contact 564-0820 or mannis@myfairpoint.net.
