Foxcroft X-C runs at Old Town Sectionals

OLD TOWN — The Foxcroft Academy cross country team took part in the 76th Old Town Sectionals on Sept. 26.

The Pony boys compiled a score of 157 points to place eighth among nine schools.

Senior Noah Ferioli led Foxcroft by finishing third among 60 varsity runners. Ferioli covered the five kilometer course in a time of 17 minutes, 55.90 seconds.

Senior Ethen Eakright came in seventh with his time of 18:30.

The other three Pony runners were senior Josh Sinclair, 49th at 24:02.40; sophomore Skyler Patrick, 57th at 26:57.60; and freshman Cayden Abbott Dellamore, 60th at 39:53.80.

Orono High School junior Brady Cox won the race by about 16 seconds with his time of 17:22.10.

Team scores are: 1. John Bapst 79 2. Orono 81 3. Brewer 85 4. Caribou 5. Presque Isle 103 6. Hermon 149 7. MDI 150 8. Foxcroft 157 9. Central 230.

In the girls’ meet, Foxcroft freshman Nina Espinosa finished 43rd among 52 varsity runners with her time of 27:19.20.

Pony junior Zoey Eakright was right behind in 44th place with her time of 27:25.

Caribou junior Emma Graves earned top honors by more than 14 seconds in 19:46.80.
