Chamber seeks nominations for 2026 Business of the Year

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Business of the Year Award, an annual recognition honoring a Chamber member that demonstrates business excellence and a strong commitment to its community.

Piscataquis County residents, employees and business owners are invited to nominate a local business they believe deserves this year’s honor.

“Our region is fortunate to have businesses that work hard, support their communities, and make Piscataquis County a better place to live and work,” Kerry Glover, executive director of the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce, said. “We want to hear from the people who see that impact firsthand and give them the opportunity to recognize a business they feel truly deserves this honor.”

To be eligible for nomination, a business must:

Be a Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce member for a minimum of two years and be located in a community represented by the Chamber;

Demonstrate business excellence through continued growth, leadership, innovation and creativity;

Provide a healthy and safe work environment for its employees; and

Contribute to and have a positive influence on the well-being of the community in which it resides.

When submitting a nomination, participants are encouraged to share why the business stands out and how it has made a positive impact through its service, leadership, workplace or involvement in the community.

The award will be presented at the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner in October, with additional details to be announced soon.
