Extension 4-H hosts youth fashion show and art sale
BROWNVILLE JUNCTION – University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host the Joy Truck 4-H Collaborative’s second annual Railyard Runway and Kids Only Art Show and Sale from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bernard Jones American Legion Post 92 on Railroad Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.
The runway show begins at 2 p.m. and will feature restyled and upcycled looks created and modeled by Joy Truck youth and members of their 4-H community. Refreshments and the Kids Only Art Show and Sale will follow. Funds raised through the art sale will benefit Bernard Jones American Legion in gratitude for the organization’s generosity and support. Before the public event, participating youth ages 5-18 will gather to prepare for the runway and art show through activities related to fashion, modeling, photography and event production.
