Man accused of attacking family during Exeter stabbing

EXETER — A man allegedly attacked his family Friday afternoon, Aug. 21 during a stabbing in Exeter.

Babi Taitam, 33, has been charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence assault and criminal threatening, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Taitam allegedly assaulted family members and stabbed one person about 1:07 p.m. on Avenue Road.

Deputies found Taitam walking in the middle of the road, where he was detained.

He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, where Taitam remained Monday morning, according to the jail’s website.
