PERIOD ATTIRE — On July 2 Cobb Camp #68 and Douty Camp #11 Sons of Union Veterans and Sarah Elizabeth Palmer Tent #23 met at the Hall of Flags in Augusta as part of an event honoring Sgt. Andrew Tozier, flagbearer for the 20th Maine at Gettysburg. We then joined the 3rd Maine and 20th Maine Co. B reenactors at the Maine Military Museum, where a memorial service was held with a volley honoring Civil War veterans buried in the cemetery near the museum. Guest speaker Brian Swartz presented a program on the life of Tozier. Anyone interested in more information on the Sons or Daughters of Union Veterans should contact the Bennetts at 207-876-3073.
