First National Bank donates $45,000 to strengthen food security across Maine
First National Bank has donated $45,000 to 39 local food pantries and food access programs across its Maine market area, helping strengthen food security for families, students, older adults and neighbors throughout the communities it serves.
Food pantries and food access programs receiving donations include Foxcroft Academy’s food pantry in Dover-Foxcroft, the Good Shepherd Food Bank and the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation.
The annual donations support local organizations that provide essential food resources and help families access reliable, nutritious food close to home.
“First National Bank deeply values the essential services our local food pantries provide to neighbors and families,” Tony C. McKim, president and CEO of First National Bank, said. “As a Maine community bank, we are committed to supporting these vital organizations as they help expand access to food and build stronger, healthier communities.”
“At First National Bank, community banking means being there for our neighbors,” McKim said. “We are grateful for the dedication of these organizations and the many volunteers who make this important work possible every day.”
First National Bank’s food security giving reflects its broader commitment to supporting Maine communities through local partnerships, charitable giving and community-centered initiatives that help people and places thrive.
