SeDoMoCha’s Jones wins 50 meters at Almquist Invitational

ORONO — Hayden Jones of SeDoMoCha Middle School earned top honors in the boys 50-meter dash at the 2026 Almquist Invitational at the University of Maine on May 26 to conclude the Eastern Maine Middle School Track League season.

Jones won with his time of 7.13 seconds, nearly .4 seconds faster than the 7.52 seconds for runner-up Roscoe Clark of James Doughty Middle School of Bangor.

Girls 50: 6. Blair Clukey Ridge View Community School 7.92 seconds;

Boys 50: 10. Talon Sherbune-Boyce SeDoMoCha 7.86 seconds;

Boys 200: 3. Avery Pomerleau SeDoMoCha 27.16 seconds;

Girls 800: 6. Emma Spizuoco Ridge View 2:46.96;

Boys 4×100 relay: 8. Ridge View Conor Sullivan, Adrian Gonzalez, Kiefer King, Thomas O’Neill 53.76 seconds; 

Girls discus: 6. Rylee Libera PCMS 61 feet, 3 inches;

Boys discus: 6. Sullivan 90-11;

Boys high jump: 3. Pomerleau 5-02;

Boys long jump: 3. O’Neill 16-10.75, 5. Hodges 16-05, 8. Jackson Malloy SeDoMoCha 16-00;

Girls shot put: 4. Isis Brown PCMS 28-01.
