Three Ridge View athletes have first-place performances

OLD TOWN — Three members of the Ridge View Community School outdoor track & field team had first-place finishes during an April 29 Eastern Maine Middle School Track League meet at Old Town High School.

Laurel Bermudez had the top time in the girls 1,600 at 6 minutes, 52.12 seconds. She was just .06 seconds ahead of teammate Emma Spizuoco with her time of 6:52.18.

Bermudez also came in second in the 800 at 3:14.22, and Spizuoco finished third in the high jump at a height of 4 feet, 2 inches.

Aryanna Beal earned top honors in the girls 50 meters with her time of 8.81 seconds.

Conor Sullivan won the boys discus by 6-03 with his throw measuring 82-03. He also came in third in the 1,600 at 6:12.76 and anchored the third-place 4×100 relay as Brody O’Connor, Ben Deumeland, Peyton Squires and Sullivan combined for a time of 1:06.05.

Ridge View had other top three finishes from Adrian Gonzalez, second in the boys high jump at 3-10; and Julian Benson, third in the boys 200 in a time of 28.24 seconds.
