Multiple town wide yard sale July 13-14

    Mark your calendars. The Dover-Foxcroft Shiretown Homecoming Committee in conjunction with the organizer of the Guilford/Sangerville town wide yard sale are combining their efforts to create a multiple town wide yard sale set for July 13-14.

    The Homecoming Committee wanted to bring the town wide yard sale concept to Dover-Foxcroft. While we were trying to pick the best date this summer that did not already have an event happening locally, we found that the same week that the Guilford/Sangerville town wide yard sale would work best for us. We contacted their organizer and found that we all had the same thought, more is better.
    We decided to work together to create a huge multiple town yard sale. Currently we are planning a 10- to 15-mile radius of Dover-Foxcroft, Sangerville and Guilford but we already had interest expressed from Abbot residents and would love to see other  towns join.
    We are planning to produce maps for each town and would like to see  non-profit groups use this opportunity for fundraisers and get businesses involved by having sidewalk sales or discounts for customers who come in with one of the maps.
