I’m paying more for gas because of Donald Trump
To the Editor;
In the past, whenever the price of gasoline would go up and folks would blame the increase on
the incumbent president, I would tell them that presidents have no direct influence on gasoline prices. If they did, we’d be paying about 50 cents a gallon for gasoline.
Boy, was I wrong!
Today, I’m paying more than $4 a gallon at my local pump. Last month, it cost me in the low $30 range to fill up my tank. Now, it costs me almost $50 to fill it up.
And all of this is a direct result of President Donald Trump’s ill-advised, ill-planned, and unwarranted war in Iran. I don’t mind being wrong, but I do mind paying for someone else’s foolish grandstanding. But, then, the Epstein class doesn’t have to worry about pocketbook issues.
