Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce announces interim executive director

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry Glover as interim executive director as part of a planned leadership transition.

Glover has served as the Chamber’s Visitor Center supervisor since 2024 and brings hands-on experience in Chamber operations, member engagement, event coordination and community outreach. During her time with the organization she has played a key role in supporting local businesses, managing communications and helping to deliver successful programs and events, including the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival.

“We are confident in Kerry’s ability to step into this role and provide strong, steady leadership during this transition,” said Matthew Spooner, president of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Her experience, knowledge of our operations, and strong relationships within the community make her well-positioned to continue the important work of the Chamber.”

This transition follows the announcement that longtime Executive Director Denise Buzzelli will be relocating after 13 years of dedicated service to the Chamber and the Piscataquis County business community.

“My time with the Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce has been one of the greatest privileges of my life,” Buzzelli said. “A great love for this county is rooted in my soul and will not soon fade. Our members have become my friends. Stepping away will prove to be extremely difficult, and I am thankful to be part of the transition. I have been intentional about cross-training our Visitor Center Supervisor Kerry Glover to understand the dimensions of the executive director role, and I’m thankful that she will be in place as we look to the future. I am fully confident that the vital support and communication our members are accustomed to will remain constant.”

The Chamber’s Board of Directors expressed its deep appreciation for Buzzelli’s leadership, commitment and lasting impact on the organization and the broader community. Over her 13-year tenure, Buzzelli helped grow Chamber programs, strengthen partnerships and support the economic vitality of the region.

The Chamber remains committed to supporting its members and strengthening the economic vitality of Piscataquis County throughout this transition. Chamber programs, events and member services will continue as planned and the organization looks forward to building on its strong foundation in the months ahead.
