Tides to Pines expands presence in Moosehead Lake region

Tides to Pines, a Maine-based vacation rental and hospitality company, is deepening its presence in the Greenville and Moosehead Lake region, where it will now steward 65 homes. Following a strategic acquisition of properties from Vacasa, the national rental platform, Rockland-based Tides to Pines has grown from a startup to Maine’s largest vacation rental management company with over 450 homes across the state.

Founded in 2023, the company has more than 35 years of combined experience in hospitality and vacation rental management. While the company has been operating in the Moosehead region for over a year, this next chapter marks a more intentional commitment to the area — one rooted not in rapid expansion but in thoughtful growth and long-term stewardship. 

“This is a place that people feel deeply connected to — for its quiet, its scale, and its sense of escape,” said Molly Gray Hooper, founder of Tides to Pines. “We’ve spent the past year listening, learning and building relationships here. To now be entrusted with 65 homes is something we take seriously. Our role is to care for these homes in a way that reflects the character of this region and respects the community that makes it what it is.” 

That commitment is reflected not only in the homes Tides to Pines stewards, but in the people behind the work. The company continues to grow its presence in the region with both new and familiar faces, including Ashley Turner, general manager, who was born and raised in Greenville. 

“For a lot of homeowners here, these places aren’t just investments — they’re part of their story,” Turner said. “Being able to support them in a way that feels personal and rooted in this community really matters to me. It’s not about changing anything — it’s about taking care of what’s already here.” 

The company continues to tailor its management and guest experience to each region it serves with an emphasis on hands-on care, responsive communication and supporting both homeowners and guests with a level of service that feels personal and locally attuned. 

“This isn’t about changing Moosehead,” Hooper added. “It’s about showing up well within it.”
