The Mallet Brothers Band making a stop in Bangor on Northeast tour

BANGOR — The popular Americana rock band The Mallet Brothers Band  will be making a tour stop at Husson University’s Gracie Theatre on Saturday, March 21. The concert is part of the Gracie’s 14th season, sponsored by Bangor Saving Bank.

Founded by brothers Luke and Will Mallett in Portland, the band carries forward the songwriting tradition of their father — folk artist David Mallett. Their current lineup features Luke and Will Mallett (vocals, guitar), Nick Leen (bass), Andrew Martelle (fiddle, keys) and Brian Higgins (drums).

The Malletts’ music resists genre boxes, ranging from alt-country to Americana, country, jam and roots rock. Their latest album “Higher Up in the Hills” reflects this philosophy, blending rock, roots, and country into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

The March 21 concert begins at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $23.50 to $30 plus a $2.50 per ticket fee. To purchase tickets or for more information about group rates, call the Gracie Theatre Box Office at 207-941-7888 or online at www.gracietheatre.com.
