Dover-Foxcroft Firefighters Association Ice Fishing Derby returns this weekend

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Anglers are invited to Sebec Lake for the 15th annual Dover-Foxcroft Firefighters Association Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22.

Derby hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, with the weigh station located at Greeley’s Landing for the various derby categories for adult and youth entrants.

Registration tickets are one for $3 or two for $5. Tickets include derby entry and shore prizes. 

Tickets — which include derby entry and shore prizes — are available at Mountain’s Market, Mountain’s Sport Shop, Misty Morning Bait Shop, Sebec Country Store, fire department members and at the weigh station during the derby.

JUNIOR GIANT – Emmet Hill had the top catch in the junior division of the Dover-Foxcroft Firefighters Association Ice Fishing Derby two years ago. His fish weighed just under 5 pounds and measured 25.50 inches.

All state of Maine ice fishing laws and rules will apply.
