PCSWCD online tree pre-sale

Each year Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District organizes a tree and plant sale fundraiser that offers different varieties of locally-grown fruit trees, flowers, berry bushes, shrubs and herbs.

Since February is the typical time of year for folks to pre-order trees for spring delivery, PCSWCD offers our customers that chance through our tree pre-sale! Customers can place orders online for Maine-grown apple and pear trees, and softwood and hardwood trees. The trees will be ready for pick-up in Dover-Foxcroft on May 15.

“Every year, we sell out of the trees we source for our Tree and Plant Sale fundraiser. The demand for these high-quality trees is astounding” stated Kacey Weber, PCSWCD’s executive director. New to this year’s tree pre-sale, PCSWCD has added some options for softwood and hardwood trees. Each of these forest trees is grown in the same growing zones as Piscataquis County and comes bare-root, ensuring they are ready to be planted and for anything the Maine weather throws at them! 

The tree pre-sale is live through Feb. 24. All proceeds from this sale support the farmers and businesses we source trees from and PCSWCD educational programming.

PCSWCD’s full tree and plant sale fundraiser will launch on March 10. During that sale, customers will be able to purchase any trees we have left over from the tree pre-sale, along with vegetable seedlings, herbs, perennials, annuals, shrubs and more! We source all of our products for the tree and plant sale from local farmers and businesses, making it your one-stop shop to support Piscataquis growers!
