Bangor mailman charged with OUI after reported erratic driving on the job

A Bangor mail carrier was arrested and charged with operating under the influence after his mail van was seen driving erratically.

Police were called to the area of French Street just after 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2 for a report of an erratic mail van, Bangor police said.

Police found the driver, Anthony Federico, 43, of the Piscataquis County town of Bowerbank, who allegedly showed signs of impairment. He was arrested, taken to Penobscot County Jail and charged with operating under the influence.
