Frye IV graduates from Maine Criminal Justice Academy

VASSALBORO — George Frye IV of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department was one of 78 cadets to graduate from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy on Dec. 19.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of the 48th BLETP, an intensive 18-week residential program that prepares new officers for careers in law enforcement across Maine. The program began in August with 86 cadets. Of those 78 graduated, reflecting a high completion rate and strong commitment from the cadets and the dedication of the cadre, who represent law enforcement agencies throughout the state. Cadets represent 44 different municipal, county and state law enforcement agencies.
