Southeast Piscataquis Regional Democrats collect for Dyer’s Hope House

FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS — The Southeast Piscataquis Regional Democrats want to thank the management of Tradewinds Market in Milo and their customers for allowing us to spend four hours outside on a cold Nov. 15 morning collecting donations for the Dyer’s Hope House. This was in addition to Tradewinds’ ongoing donation programs inside the store. Our generous donors supplied us with cans, jars and boxes of grocery items which earned them a chance to win a holiday wreath. We also collected $247 in cash for the Hope House, which was over twice the amount we raised at the Black Fly Festival last June. Thank you, Milo, for supporting your local food cupboard in this time of need. From left are Christine Beres, Carole Boothroyd, Joe Beres and Lynn Weston.
